Identifying Impact And Threats Caused By The Business
In this way we come up with the programs that minimize the impact of our business operations to both the environment and the community.
Integrating the impacts into best practice
At CST we strive to create the most conducive working conditions for all our employees. By putting our people first we also work to ensure we implement best practice. We are guided by the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human rights plus teh Sustainable Development Goals. As a result we improved our existing policies and added others relevant to the nature of our business.
- Stand alone human rights policy
- Human resource policy
- Sexual harassment policy
- Environmental policy
- Packaging policy
- Supplier conduct policy
- Health and safety policy
- Waste management policy
SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT
- Human Rights
Steps to achieving this:
By having a policy commitment for example the universal Declaration on Human Rights.
Ongoing process on human rights due process.
All this is guides by the 4P’s:
With the following programs we are able to implement and assess our social impact.
To champion a wholesome transformation of our communities and environment with dignity.
Why do we do this?
- For future generations
- To influence the government especially in terms of proper cycling lanes using our cycling t work project. To further influence other companies to come on board and collaborate with us to make the world better.
- Action – we take action by joining platforms where we can lobby that doing the right thing especially as a business goes a long way.
We also do this because the world has the biggest and most pressing humanity challenges worth solving. To do this we need collaborations. This translates to healthy societies hence we cannot go on business as usual.
