SDG No 11—Sustainable Cities & Communities
Cityscape Trends espouses a dream to one day develop sustainable housing projects for its employees; these shall incorporate decent housing with all requisite facilities for hygiene, play fields & spaces, recreational, shopping and even vertical agribusiness model spaces among other facilities and amenities.
Mary Thuo, espouses this as one of the company’s long-term dreams that shall ensure comfortable and pleasant life for its employees and their families. In the housing projects/cities, the use of sustainable Reduce, Re-use and Recycle concepts and use of green, environment-friendly cleaning, among other everyday operations, materials shall be embraced and emphasized.
The use of single-use plastic materials and zero waste of water among other resources shall be emphasized. Wastage of all natural resources shall be reduced and eventually stopped.
In the 2018/2019 period, Cityscape, however, noted with concern that most cleaning chemicals, including detergents, manufacturers were producing environment friendly products only for domestic use meaning that those for commercial/industrial cleaning were not green and environment friendly. It was, nevertheless, encouraging that domestic use chemicals were thus contributing to less of global warming and it is hoped that commercial and industrial use cleaning chemicals manufacturers shall also produce green products in the very near future in order to help reduce the burden of Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) effect and impact on the environment (Global Warming).
