Cityscape is committed to paying living wages that are above the sh 13,000 pay stipulated currently in the Kenya government Employment Act. A living wage shall essentially allow the employee to meet food, education and health bills for self and family when necessary. This should also leave some amount as savings for emergencies.

In the 2018/2019 season, 35 employees out of a total of 89 received salaries above the minimum wage marking an 8 per cent rise from the 2017/2018. The company also ensured equal pay for equal work done for the two genders.

In 2018, the company increased staff training by 25 per cent; ensured that all employees earned, at least, the minimum wage, ensured that all employees contracts were signed and assessed its impact on its communities. Consequently, all of its 89 employees in the 2018/2019 period received 100 percent on-the-job training. Its annual internal training was provided to 36 employees while 19 employees attended on-site external training (facilitated by
external trainers) however marking a rather low turnout.
